Python Fundamentals Course—January 2023

Start the new year off with new Python skills!

This course will teach you the fundamentals of Python. With these building blocks, you will be able you to automate boring things, serve websites, or analyze data.

This course includes:

• Four weekly two-hour lecture sessions
• Exercises you can practice on in between sessions

Lessons will be the last four Tuesdays in January 2023, 4:30–6:30 pm. Lessons will also be available to view after the fact.

Your teacher will be Chris May, a Python trainer, developer, and co-founder of PyRVA.

Content will include:

• Introduction to the Python ecosystem
• Data types
• Variables
• Built-in functions
• Sequences (lists, tuples, sets, and dictionaries)
• Boolean operations and conditionals
• Functions
• Errors, exceptions, and debugging practices
